For Coachella 2024, Monum Fab partnered with Nike Air Max to design and build a custom experiential brand activation at one of the world's most high-profile music festivals. The project demanded a build that could hold up to the desert environment, command attention among thousands of festival attendees, and communicate the Nike Air Max brand with the level of precision and craft the brand demands. Our Los Angeles fabrication studio delivered exactly that.
WHAT WE BUILT
The Monum Fab team handled the full scope of fabrication in-house at our Los Angeles studio — from initial creative development and photo-realistic rendering through to carpentry, CNC routing, scenic painting, and prop making. Every element was engineered for the Coachella environment: built to withstand the desert heat, designed to photograph beautifully, and constructed for fast, clean installation on the festival grounds. The result was a custom brand activation environment that put Nike Air Max front and center for thousands of Coachella attendees.

THE CHALLENGE
Coachella activations operate under extreme conditions — intense heat, dust, heavy foot traffic, and tight installation windows. The build needed to be visually striking from a distance, structurally sound for multi-day use, and quick to install and strike on a festival timeline. Nike required a fabrication partner who could bring both creative and technical expertise to bear under real event pressure.
