Scenic, props and sculpting for experiential builds

Custom scenic fabrication covers sculpting, prop making, and scenic finishing in our own shop. We create durable pieces built to handle crowds, travel between cities, and maintain a flawless look on camera. Bring us a render or an entire production project, and we will bring it to life with your complete project.

What it is

Scenic fabrication, props, and sculpting transform ideas into physical objects and immersive worlds. Our prop shop creates custom pieces for experiential builds, designed to look clean on camera, withstand heavy crowd interaction, and maintain their quality through long-distance transport and demanding event installations. From concept development to final production, we bring creative visions to life with durable, camera-ready results.

The shop

What our shop can handle.

Prop fabrication depends on the right skills, materials, and processes, so knowing what to ask before choosing a shop matters. The right team should offer the sculpting, finishing, and production capabilities needed to create durable, camera-ready pieces for any scale of project.

Hand sculpting
Clay and foam sculpted by experienced artists
Digital sculpting
ZBrush designs prepared for CNC production
CNC foam carving
Precise, repeatable shapes with consistent results
Mould-making and casting
Multiple identical pieces created efficiently
Hardcoating
Protective finishes built to withstand handling and interaction
Scenic paint and faux finishes
Detailed surfaces that perform well on camera
Scale production
From tabletop details to oversized installations
Finishing and installation
Complete fabrication from workshop to final setup
For projects larger than a single block, we sculpt in sections, assemble each part, and conceal seams so the final piece appears seamless. Share the finished size, viewing distance, and installation needs, and we will confirm the best build approach and shipping plan before production begins.
Materials

What we build in

Materials and finishes determine how a sculpted prop performs, from its appearance and durability to how it handles real-world use. Tell us what the piece needs to do, where it will be installed, and how it will be used, and we will recommend the right fabrication approach.

01
EPS and XPS foam
Lightweight foam materials carved or CNC-routed into detailed, organic, or oversized forms, then reinforced with protective coatings for long-lasting performance.
02
Hardcoat and polyurea
Durable exterior coatings that strengthen foam structures, helping them withstand crowds, transportation, outdoor conditions, and repeated handling.
03
Fibreglass and resin
Strong composite materials used for fine details, sharp edges, and high-impact pieces designed for touring, events, and extended use.
04
Urethane and casting
Moulded and cast components created when multiple identical props are needed with consistent shape, detail, and quality.
05
Scenic paint and specialty finishes
Custom surface treatments that recreate stone, metal, concrete, wood, and aged textures while matching lighting and camera requirements.
06
Steel and timber armature
Internal structural frameworks engineered for large, interactive, climbable, or load-bearing pieces before sculpting and finishing are applied.
Getting started

What to send us.

Build-ready props start with whatever you have. Send us a render, sketch, photo, sample, or rough idea, and our team will turn it into a clear fabrication plan instead of sending you away.

01
Scale and sightlines
The size of the piece and how guests will view it determine the required level of detail. A prop seen from arm’s length needs different craftsmanship than a 30-foot scenic backdrop.
02
Reference or render
A render, sketch, photo, product sample, or visual reference helps guide the design. The more detail you provide, the closer the first production pass will be.
03
Material appearance
Define how the finished piece should look and feel: stone, bronze, concrete, wood, or an exact product finish. We match the surface, texture, and visual character.
04
Installation environment
Indoor, outdoor, interactive, climbable, or transported between cities, each condition affects the structure, materials, and protective coatings required.
05
Production timeline
Share your load-in date, not only your delivery date. We will review the schedule and confirm what is realistic for fabrication, finishing, and installation.
No render? No problem
A simple sketch, photo, mood board, product reference, or AI-generated image is enough to begin. Our design team develops the concept, creates the necessary details, and makes it ready for production.

Sculpts and props in real builds

Sculpted builds create the moments guests remember most. These projects show how custom props, scenic fabrication, and large-scale sculptures transform brand experiences into camera-ready environments.

Process

From concept to install

Six steps transform an idea into a finished sculpted prop, whether you provide a single render or an entire project. Our fabrication process covers design, sculpting, building, finishing, and installation from start to finish.

01
Concept
Share a render, sketch, reference image, or creative brief. We develop the idea using whatever materials and information you have.
02
Design and sculpt
We digitally model or hand-sculpt the form, confirming scale, details, and surface finishes before production begins.
03
Build
The piece is carved, cast, or fabricated with engineered structures designed for handling, transportation, and long-term use.
04
Coat
Protective hardcoats and sealants are applied to help the prop withstand touch, installation, shipping, and repeated use.
05
Finish
Scenic paint, faux finishes, and surface treatments are matched to lighting, camera angles, and the intended visual style.
06
Deliver
Each piece is carefully packed, shipped, or installed on-site by our experienced production crew.
Why us

Why experiential scenic is different

Durable props are built for real-world conditions, because a piece that looks perfect in the workshop still has to perform under cameras, crowds, transport, and installation demands.

01
We sculpt for load-in, not just for looks
Our sculpting process works alongside carpentry, metal fabrication, and installation teams. Every piece is designed with packing, assembly, transportation, and event schedules in mind.
02
Finished to perform on camera
Scenic paint and faux finishes are developed for lighting, lenses, and final viewing conditions — not only how they appear in the workshop. A surface that looks like stone in person should still read as stone on screen.
03
Built to withstand the crowd
Structural support and protective coatings are selected for real-world use, ensuring that pieces exposed to touching, climbing, shipping, and repeated handling continue to look right throughout the event.
“
Every panel fit first time. On a two-night load-in, that is the whole game.

FAQ

FAQ

Can you build from just a render or a sketch?+

Yes. A render, a sketch, a reference photo, or even an AI image is enough to start. Our design team sculpts it up and makes it buildable, so you are not stuck finding someone to model it first.

How do foam props survive a crowd or the outdoors?+

We hardcoat them. A sprayed polyurea or polyurethane shell over the foam cures into a rigid, impact-resistant surface that shrugs off shoulder bumps, weather and repeated load-ins, then takes paint cleanly on top.

Can you make several identical props?+

Yes. We mould and cast, or CNC-carve to the same file, so part one and part forty match. Ideal when a set repeats across a booth, a tour, or multiple cities.

How big can you go?+

Well past a single foam block. We sculpt in sections, join them, and hide the seam so it reads as one piece. Tell us the finished size and we will confirm how it is built and how it ships.

Do you paint and finish, or just sculpt the form?+

However far you need us to go. Cut and carved only, or fully sculpted, hardcoated, scenic-painted, faux-finished and installed. Most clients hand us the whole thing.

Can you match a specific material look, like stone, bronze or concrete?+

Yes. Faux finishing is core to what we do. We match stone, metal, concrete, wood, aged and weathered looks, or your exact product colour, tuned to how it reads under lights and on camera.
